About Kuah:

Located on the south-eastern part of the island, Kuah is Langkawi's main town and the transit point for ferries to the neighbouring islands. A former fishing village, the town is developing fast. In the centre visitors will find new luxury hotels, business complexes, banks, duty-free shops, small emporiums and large shopping malls. Kuah has no real beach, but in addition to the shopping there are also some interesting places to visit.
