Located in South-eastern China on the south bank of Yangtze River, Hunan is sometimes called Xiang, the hometown of at least two former Chinese leaders, Mao Zedong and Zhu Rongji. It was once communication centre, served by the river run through it. Places to visit are all worthwhile e.g. Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area (World Heritage Site), Yueyang Pagoda in Yueyang. Visit Mount Heng, one of the Five Sacred Mountains of Taoism in China, Wulinyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area comprised of the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Tianzishan mountain ranges, BaoFengHu and the Suoxi Valley is a very popular filming and tourist destination. Domestic Airports are located in Changsha and Zhangjiajie City.
