This hotel is located directly in the heart of central Taiwan, a little more than three hours by car from the Taipei airport. It has no match in the area or throughout Taiwan. It sits on Sun Moon Lake, the largest freshwater lake in the country, an oasis of green landscapes and aquamarine waters. The secluded resort is a virtual sanctuary offering tranquil views of the surrounding lake and mountains.

Divided into three main buildings made of glass, wood, stone and iron, the accommodations, spa, main public areas and dining facilities are neatly separated by function. In all areas, contrasting light and shadow have been specifically designed to accentuate the hotel decor and create a mood enhancing experience.

Dining is at The Oriental Brasserie, where breakfast and afternoon tea are served. Other options are The Japanese Restaurant, serving a good selection of Japanese cuisine, and the newly opened Lakeview Chinese Restaurant on level seven, featuring Hong Kong and dim sum specials. The Tea House provides a nice assortment of refreshments and teas near the pool on the first floor
