Jakarka |
Jakarta is the capital and centre of government in Indonesia. Its
also a thriving business, arts, culture and religious centre. Located
on the main island of Java in the Indonesian archipelago, the city
has a population of around 13 million people which is continually
increasing. As a result, Jakarta is crowded and more expensive than
other Indonesian travel destinations.
Jakarta is a place that most visit for business rather than a vacation,
so attractions are few. A couple of museums, upscale shopping. Jakarta
is improving hygiene and medical facilities but is not recommended
for a medical emergency, especially as the traffic can be gridlocked.
.
Located at the mouth the Ciliwung River, Jakarta lies in a flood
plain and prone to flooding during the wet monsoon season. While
you may experience some inconvenience (traffic jams etc.,) its
unlikely you will be directly affected.
The Ciliwung River divides east & west Jakarta. Most of the
high end luxury hotels are located in Central and South Jakarta.
Bali |
Located
at the tip of Indonesia close to the equator with year round sunshine,
Bali is one of the most captivating places on earth. An idyllic
island where wide beaches and rolling surf contrast with emerald
green rice terraces and steep volcanic peaks. Soaked in a distinctive
Hindu culture, youll find a population immensely talented
in art, crafts, music and drama where colourful festivals and celebrations,
beautifully presented food and mesmerizing dancing are not for the
tourists, but part of daily life. Volcanoes are an essential part
of Balis geography with the occasional rumbling a reminder.
Climb one and experience a spectacular sunrise! more..
